Is America producing too many firearms?

Is it hard to ponder the fact that we manufacturer too damn many firearms in this Country? You can begin to find numbers averaging about 10 million per year floating around. Even though the United States population is around 350 million, that's still plenty of guns made in a single year. Just imagine if we consider all of the guns that have been produced in the last 50 years. There should be plenty of those guns still floating around in good condition. I can attest that most of these guns are not made for American citizens. People all over the globe order from us, and I can't blame them. No other country on earth has set laws in place that protect gun ownership like that United States has.

I don't have a particular problem with our manufacturing speed. At some point though, the gun world should really think about how many guns are being put on the street. There is a huge difference in supply/demand and stupid overload of surplus that allows guns to be sold, stolen, transferred and passed to others illegally.

My question to fellow citizens......Will production ever slow down so that we can clean up all the guns being sold illegally?
