Airsoft or Stickball as the Russians call it has gone international

Games like Marty Airsoft Russia and Armored War VIII (the biggest airsoft game in Russia) with over 3,000 players, are popping up all over the world. The recreation of airsoft should now be called an official hobby/activity. I've been doing a little browsing on the subject and it's since international impact on the world. It seems like more people want to get out and feel some sort of realism of what war actually feels like. Well that was my initial thought when I first got into airsoft. Those action seeking adrenaline junkies who just want to practice destroying things. That's really not the case at all. The everyday gamer to retired military are all taking part in airsoft games. This give a great point to why things are hitting on an international level. Small base companies have been setting up shop. Creating acres of war grounds with hill peaks and abandoned buildings. You can now do a simple google search for the nearest weekend battle event, just sign up and pick your team.

I've found a couple of researches to help you find games in your area. Facebook is a great for getting to the local games. A quick search for "airsoft" and I instantly found a my local airsoft store GI Tactical and weekend airsoft game that I could sign up for $25 bucks called Ballahack Airsoft games. They play every Sunday it seems and their events average guests between 75 to 150 per game. I found them located in Chesapeake, Virginia which isn't a bad drive at all.

It's becoming a simplified approach to getting some hands on experience with anything airsoft. I'm happy to find out that more and more common folk are joining this wave.
